Rob Pruitt "Graffiti Chair" on Exhibition A

With Graffiti Chair, Pruitt plays with form and functionality in the tradition of a Franz West chair and other great artist furniture (be it an Yves Klein coffee table or a Dan Colen bench). Conceived after Pruitt’s graffitied plywood tabletops in his solo exhibition at Gavin Brown’s enterprise in October 2014, this edition is “tricked out with tangles of images from comics, cartoons, and advertising...hand-drawn in fluorescent colors and black lines with consummate assurance by Mr.Pruitt’s studio assistants,” Roberta Smith wrote in The New York Times. This exclusive Exhibition A edition makes for a unique piece which can be displayed as sculpture or placed around the dining room table. Edition sold out.
